Syntrix v1.9 - A simpler way to build and run simulations
We've redesigned the UI for managing simulations to make it more intuitive and easier to use. Here's what's changed:
Synthetic customers have been folded into simulations. Based on your feedback, you no longer create and manage "synthetic customers" as a distinct type of asset. That functionality now lives in a single, more robust UI for creating and managing simulations, giving you a simpler, more intuitive mental model.
Simulations are now saved configurations. A simulation bundles everything it needs — scenarios, personas, identities, and configuration info — into one object you can create, edit, publish, run, archive, and unarchive.
You'll also see a related terminology change in the UI and our documentation:
- "Simulations" are the saved configurations.
- "Runs" are the live executions of those simulations that you can start and stop.
Draft and Published states. A simulation starts in Draft while you're building or changing it. In this state, you and others can see and edit it, but no one can run it. When you're ready, you publish it, making it runnable by you and other users.
AI-assisted or manual creation. You can use AI to assist you through the process of creating a simulation, lowering the effort to get a new simulation running. This means your team spends more time using simulations to test and train, and less time building them. The AI assist involves generating applicable scenarios and preselecting personas from your existing library.
Alternatively, you can do the work manually too.
CALL TO ACTION: Review all simulations and publish them
When this release is delivered:
1 - Your synthetic customers are converted to simulations automatically.
Previous simulation runs using the synthetic customer won't be associated with the simulation. However, looking forward, all future runs are associated with a saved simulation.
2 - In each simulation, the default values for all settings are applied. The exception here is the value for the contact center — you must supply it.
3 - All simulations are set to Draft state, making them unrunnable until you publish each.
Your call to action for each simulation:
1 - Review the simulation.
2 - Fill in and change the configuration to suit your requirements, just like you previously would to run a simulation.
3 - Publish it when you're ready to make it runnable by you and others. Congrats! Now you can run the simulation at the push of a button, whenever you need.
4 - Optionally archive any simulations you no longer need.
