There are a number of prerequisites required before you begin your Salesforce Connector configuration. Depending on your LivePerson account, you may be working with Customer Success or Enablement to complete many of these prerequisites. If you are unsure, please contact your account representative.

- LivePerson account is set up
- You must have a LivePerson account in order to install Salesforce Connector. All channel connections, agent routing rules, bots, engagements, campaigns, etc are configured in LivePerson.
- LivePerson users are set up
- Agent User(s): At least 1 Agent User created in your LivePerson account for testing purposes
- ‼️The Agent User LOGIN NAME used in LivePerson MUST MATCH the USERNAME in Salesforce and the USERNAME in Tenfold. (Tenfold usernames must be in email address format.)
- Admin privileges NOT REQUIRED
- Admin Users: 1 (one) dedicated admin user required to connect/link your LivePerson account to Tenfold
- Admin privileges REQUIRED
- Not to be used as an Agent or general Administrator account
- This user does not need to be set up in Salesforce
- 🚨 Note: If your organization enforces regular password changes, be sure to update the password for this admin user accordingly. Since this user is used only for the integration between LivePerson and Tenfold, it's important to maintain it in line with your standard password rotation policies.
- Tenfold account is created
- LivePerson task
- Your account team will submit a request to the Salesforce Connector team with the following information:
- Brand Name,
- Brand LivePerson Account id,
- Brand Salesforce Organization Id,
- Administrator Name,
- Administrator Email
- Your Tenfold Agent Users will be set up in a later step
- LivePerson account is whitelisted
- LivePerson task
- Your account team will submit the request to whitelist your account id Salesforce Connector/iHub team
- Salesforce.com (SFDC) Users Set Up
- This is done in SFDC
- Admin User(s): 1 Integration User with admin and API read/write permissions (see user permissions requirements)
- Agent User(s): At least 1 agent user for testing
- Admin privileges not required
- ‼️USERNAME MUST MATCH the LivePerson LOGIN NAME and Tenfold USERNAME. (Tenfold requires Usernames to be in email format.)
