Overview: This article provides a walkthrough for configuration Okta as an identity provider for Tenfold with Google as Identity.
Configuring Google SAML SSO for Tenfold
To set up Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google as the Identity Provider for Tenfold, follow these steps:
Navigate to Google Admin Console:
- Log in to your Google Admin console and navigate to SAML Apps.
Select SAML Apps:
- Choose the option to manage SAML Apps from the available options.
Set Up Custom SAML App:
- Click Setup my own custom app.
Download IDP Metadata:
- In the Option 2: Download IDP Metadata section, click Download to save the metadata file to your desktop. You’ll need this file to configure SSO in Tenfold.
Configure Application Details:
- Set the Application Name to "Tenfold" and click Next.
Enter SAML Configuration Details:
Enable SAML App for Users:
- After the app is created, locate the newly created SAML App named "Tenfold" in the SAML Apps list.
- Click Edit Service and toggle the service On for everyone to enable the SSO app for all users.
- Click Save to apply the changes. Note: This step ensures that all users in your Google Workspace will be able to use SSO for Tenfold.
Configure SSO in Tenfold:
- Log in to the Tenfold dashboard and navigate to the Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration page.
- Set the domain that users will enter when logging in to Tenfold (for example:
acme
, acme.org
, acme-org
). - Upload the IDP metadata XML file you downloaded in step #4.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page to finalize the SSO setup.
Test Google SSO for Tenfold:
- Your organization is now ready to use Google as the Identity Provider (IdP) for authenticating to Tenfold.
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be handled by Google as part of your organization's security settings.
- Once users log in using their Google Workspace credentials, they will be redirected to the Tenfold dashboard.
