✅ Salesforce Requirements
- Salesforce Edition: Enterprise, Unlimited, or any edition with API access enabled (typically not available on lower editions like Essentials).
- Salesforce API Access: Required for data sync (REST or SOAP APIs).
- Connected App: You’ll need to configure a Connected App in Salesforce with proper OAuth settings to allow LivePerson to authenticate.
- Custom Objects & Fields: Depending on your business logic, you may need custom objects or fields to log conversations or assign attributes.
- User Permissions: The integration user must have sufficient admin permissions to read/write to Leads, Contacts, Cases, etc. All users must have the "Author Apex" permission.

✅ LivePerson Requirements
- LivePerson Account: With access to the Conversational Cloud and data integrations (API access).
- Salesforce Connector Add-On: Work with your account team to add Salesforce Connector to your LivePerson agreement.
- Tenfold Account: This solution is powered by Tenfold: our cloud-based solution that gives sales and service reps the full context of each customer in real time. You must have a Tenfold organization set up in order to enable Salesforce Connector. Work with your account team to enable this.
- Skills & Agent Setup: Salesforce Connector uses your LivePerson Conversation Cloud configurations for skill and agent routing. All agents using Salesforce Connector must be set up in LivePerson Conversational Cloud, Salesforce, and in Tenfold.
- Bot or Automation Setup: For routing or pre-chat data capture, bots or automation flows should be configured via Conversational Cloud.
✅ General System Requirements
- Network Configuration: Firewalls or proxies should allow outbound connections from LivePerson to Salesforce endpoints (e.g.,

- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: Salesforce Connector is compatible with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments such as Citrix. However, performance may vary depending on your specific VDI configuration. It is strongly recommended to conduct performance testing in your VDI environment prior to deployment. Collaborate with your VDI administrator to evaluate and, if necessary, optimize configuration settings to prevent potential performance degradation for agents.
