KnowledgeAI - Notice of removal of PDF and web page import options
What’s changing?
LivePerson is removing support for creating knowledge bases (KBs) from PDF files and web pages within the platform. You can continue using CSV and Google sheets, or integrate with KMS options. (Learn about import options.)
Starting with this change:
- You can no longer create KBs from PDFs or web pages, or use the Sources page to import additional ones or overwrite existing ones.
- Existing KBs that were originally created via PDF or web import remain usable. That is, you can still manually add, update, and remove articles individually in these KBs.
Why are we deprecating these options?
- Very low adoption of the PDF and web page import paths.
- Higher complexity and maintenance costs tied to these workflows.
- LivePerson’s focus is shifting to simpler, more consistent import methods: integration with a KMS (this is a best practice), CSV import, and Google sheet import.
When is this change happening?
August 23rd across all regions.
What should you do?
No action is needed from you.
To create new KBs, integrate with a CMS. Or, use a CSV or Google sheet import.
