Elevate your conversations - Introducing RCS rich cards and carousels
In this release, we introduce a suite of high-impact, visual components to the RCS channel:
- Standalone rich cards (vertical and horizontal layouts)
- Carousels
These features allow you to move beyond plain text and deliver app-like experiences directly within the conversation, driving higher click-through rates and better product discovery.
Standalone rich cards
Rich cards combine media (images or video) with text and interactive buttons into a single, cohesive message bubble.
- Vertical layout: The media is positioned at the top with text and buttons below. This is ideal for high-impact visual content, such as a "Deal of the Day" or a new product launch.
- Horizontal layout: The media is positioned to the side of the text. This layout is perfect for a "list-style" view or when you want to keep the message compact while still providing visual context (e.g., a thumbnail of a hotel room next to its description).
- Customization: You can control the Media Height (Short, Medium, or Tall) to ensure the layout fits your creative assets perfectly.
Carousels
Carousels allow you to send a scrollable horizontal set of up to 10 rich cards in a single message.
- Browsable experience: Users can swipe through multiple options, such as a catalog of products, different flight times, or a menu of services.
- Standardized sizing: To ensure a smooth swiping experience, all cards within a carousel maintain a consistent width and media height.
- Call-to-action per card: Each card in the carousel can have its own unique set of suggested actions (e.g., "View Details," "Book Now," or "Add to Cart").
Technical configuration

Empowering conversations - Introducing 2-way file sharing for RCS
We’re excited to launch support for 2-way file sharing on RCS. This update allows bot builders, agents, and consumers to exchange standalone, high-fidelity media and documents directly within the conversation transcript.
The consumer experience
- Native media rendering: Standalone images, videos, and PDFs now render as individual, direct messages in the chat.
- Integrated audio player: Received audio files (.mp3, .aac, .ogg, etc.) now feature a native widget allowing users to play, pause, and seek without leaving the app.
- Document handling: PDF files now display a native preview. Users can tap to open them in their device's default viewer or download them directly.
- Consumer-to-brand uploads: Consumers can now use their native attachment icon to send photos, videos, voice notes, or PDFs back to your brand for support, verification, or claims.
Bot builder and agent capabilities
- Advanced thumbnail support: Agents can now provide custom thumbnails (up to 100 KB) for media files. The system ensures these thumbnails maintain the original file’s aspect ratio to prevent distortion during preview.
- Agent Workspace integration: Inbound files from consumers are displayed in the Agent Workspace.
Technical limits and validations
- Payload constraints: The total stringified JSON payload for any single message must not exceed 250 KB.
- Supported extensions:
- Images: .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, .png
- Videos: .h263, .m4v, .mp4, .mpeg, .mpeg4, .webm
- Audio: .ogx, .aac, .mp3, .mpeg, .mpg, .3gpp
- Documents: .pdf
Copilot Translate - Support for conversations via account rollover
In this release, agents can now use Copilot Translate in conversations that arrive to them via account rollover.
