Note: The latest Web Tag version (1.10.0) is advised for full web messaging support.
How to verify your LP Web Tag version, using Chrome browser:
- Navigate to a known LP Tagged page on the brand website
- Right-click on the Chat web engagement (or anywhere on the page) and select Inspect
- At the top of the Developers toolbar, find and click on the Elements Tab.
- Then, open the Search Box by pressing
Ctrl+F(Windows/Linux) orCmd+F(Mac). This will open a search bar, usually at the bottom or top of the console. - In the search bar, search for the lpTag version by entering _v:
- The Web Tag version should then display (example, 1.10.0,1.8.0,1.5.0)
If your LP Web Tag version is not the latest (1.10.0), here are the steps to obtain an updated Web Tag:
- Log in to the Conversational Cloud account.
- Click on your user profile in the top right and click Web Tag. The Web Tag page should appear.
- Copy the Web Tag code at the bottom of the page, under Select and copy this code.
- The updated Web Tag will then need to be entered into the <head element> of the brand webpage(s), replacing the outdated lpTag code.
*The brand will need to apply the updated tag to their website (typically completed by the development team; i.e., someone who can update the website or submit a request to the website provider).
