Apple Messages for Business readiness
Prior to getting started with Apple Messages for Business, we encourage you to assess if this is the correct solution for your business.

Follow the steps below to add Apple Messages for Business to the Conversation Cloud:
Adding Apple Messages for Business to the Conversation Cloud
Log into your Conversation Cloud account and click Channel Setup under the Manage tab in the hamburger menu.
The Channel Setup page appears.
Scroll down to find the Apple Message for Business option and click Get Started. The Apple Messaging for Business integration wizard appears.
On the Create AMB connector page click Next. The Create Apple Messages for Business account page appears.
ℹ️ An Apple Messages for Business profile is required before you can continue. You must set up a profile for the organization to add and use Apple's Messages for Business service.
ℹ️ Please ensure to review Apple's Getting Started Guide for registration steps including how to set up native entry points such as Locations.
Upon receiving the your Apple Messages for Business account, click Next. A confirmation dialog appears.
Click Next. The Connector Details page appears.
Adding Connector Information
Provide the required information:
- Name: Input the name for your connector.
- Description (Optional): Input a description for your connector.
- Enter Business ID: Input the Business ID from the your Apple Messages for Business Account.
ℹ️ Go to the your account in Apple Messages for Business > Register > Links > Copy ID or copy the business ID from the URL: "https://register.apple.com/messages/Business|D"
Click Next. The Rich Link Configuration page appears.
Configuring the Connector
In this section you need to configure:
- Rich Link Fallback settings
- File Sharing Configuration
- Authentication Configuration
Rich Link Fallback Configuration
Provide the required information for the Rich Link Configuration:
- Rich Link Fallback Title: Input the substitute title to what title should display as a rich link if essential page information is unavailable.
- Rich Link Fallback Image: Input the substitute image URL to what image should display as a rich link if essential page information is absent.
File Sharing Configuration
Provide the required information for the File Sharing Configuration:
- Enable/Disable File Sharing: Click to enable or disable the file sharing option.
- Disabled File Sharing Message: Displays the default file sharing disabled message, click to edit the message.
Authentication Configuration
Provide the required information for the Authentication Configuration:
- OAuth Token URL: Provide the same OAuth Token URL supplied for your Apple Messages for Business account, if available.
- OAuth Client ID: Provide the same OAuth Client ID supplied for our Apple Messages for Business account, if available.
- OAuth Client Secret: Provide the same OAuth Token URL supplied for the your Apple Messages for Business account, if available.
Click Next, the Skill Routing page appears.
Skill Routing
Create a skill or select a skill from the dropdown menu:
- Create New Skill: Click to create a new skill to route messages to specific agents.
- Target Skill: Select a precreated skill from the dropdown menu for routing messages.
Click Next, the Test Connector page appears.
Testing the Connector
Scan the QR Code using your smartphone and send a text message to the number to test your integration.
Click Next, the Entry Points page appears.
Entry Points
Displays an overview of all entry points that are available for Apple Messages for Business.
Click each option to display more information on the entry point.
Plan the user experience and which entry points will be the best fit for your brand's needs.
Scroll down to view the launch your business section of the page.
Click each option to display more information on turning on the Apple Messages for Business account, activating entry points, and scheduling review meeting with your Apple representative 30 days after launch.
Click Done in the same page to complete the setup.
You have successfully integrated Apple Messages for Business to the Conversation Cloud.
Configuring Apple Messages for Business
You must contact your LivePerson Account Manager to configure and finish the set up, ensuring a smooth integration.
Here's a quick overview of what they'll handle for you:
- Connector Configuration: They'll configure a connector on LivePerson's platform management tool. This connector acts as the bridge between your Apple Business Account and Conversation Cloud, allowing for message exchange.
- Skill Management: Your Account Manager will also assist with setting up skills. Skills route incoming messages to the appropriate agents based on specific criteria like customer information or order details.
By contacting your LivePerson Account Manager, you can ensure a seamless and efficient setup of Apple Business Chat within Conversation Cloud, allowing you to connect with your customers on their preferred messaging platform.
